Bien Venidos--Welcome to Our Lady of Belen Catholic parish website! Our Lady of Belen has been serving the community since 1793.  Our parish family strives to bring the Gospel of Christ into our daily lives--at home, at school and at work.

Ash Wednesday - Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, February 26, 2020.  There will be three Masses with distribution of Ashes that day, at 7:00 am, 9:00 am and 5:30 pm.  Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting and abstinence.  On Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, All Catholic between the ages of 18 and 59 are bound by the rule of fasting.  This means consuming only one full meal on those days.  Two smaller meals are permitted, as necessary, to maintain strength according to one's needs, but eating solid food between meals is not permitted, unless a small amount of food is needed for taking medications.  Abstinence from meat is observed on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all Fridays during Lent by all Catholics 14 years of age and older.

Stations of the Cross and Soup Suppers - After Stations of the Cross on Friday Evenings during Lent (except Good Friday), Our Lady of Belen Parish will be hosting a simple meatless "Soup Supper" consisting of soup, bread, butter and a beverage.  A different ministry/organization within the Parish will prepare the soup supper each week.  There is no charge for the Supper.  Stations of the Cross will begin after 5:00 pm Mass (approximately 5:45 pm) in the Church.  The Soup Supper will be held in the Parish Center and will begin after the Stations of the Cross have been completed and the food has been blessed.  Friday, February 28th the Soup Supper will be hosted by the Men's and Women's ACTS.
